I'm not sure I like this one as much as the drawing chibis but I'm still pleased with it. Very much inspired by my collection of Pocket Dragons and Ice Dragonettes that live in my sitting room :D

Gift for Azura over on deviantART and DragonRealms. This has been sitting in my sketchbook for a little while now but I finally got it coloured.

Trying out a different angle on the head, I know its a bit too thin. I did try re-drawing it twice but it just looked worse so I went ahead and coloured this one.

This took me far too long to complete and I feel I could have done a lot better, but its done now.

In other news, Tanis has to go back to the vets for his second vaccination this evening. Hopefully he'll take it as well as the others, he doesn't seem to mind going to the vet at all and is happy to sit there being poked and prodded.

I feel like I've been trying to get this finished forever! Its going to be the main image on my new ref sheet but I was being impatient and decided to post it up on its own now.

My scanner killed the green but when Anthony gets home from work we're gonna try to adjust the scanner settings to see if we can fix that.

I'm reminded why I was sitting out of exchanges for a while, I'm not happy with this at all but I felt bad for keeping Nez waiting so long. I'll let him point out the bits that are wrong and I'll take another shot at it.

I'm not sure I'll ever be comfortable with digital colouring but at least I gave it a go :)

The colouring of my ref picture was beginning to drive me mad so in order to take a break I drew this little guy. Anatomy is a bit off but I like it enough to want to colour him later.

Normally I try to avoid going for walks in the rain but I didn't have any choice today, I needed to get a repeat prescription for one of my tablets. So I grabbed coat, gloves and brolly and headed out. Of course on the way back I popped into Asda (its so hard to walk past without going in) and got greeted by this little plushie Welsh dragon.



Turns out the Kidney Wales Foundation decided to set up a little stall in the foyer today to raise money for the charity. I normally can't resist charity collectors in Asda at the best of times, but get a dragon involved and I just can't help myself! Plus it makes up for trying to ignore the people in the middle of town with their clipboards wanting my bank details.

So I've ended up with another little dragon plushie who I've nicknamed Glawio (pronounced Glawi) which means 'to rain' in Welsh, and a little pin badge for my growing collection :)

Why lavender? The box of markers mum brought me for my birthday contained a lot of pinks and purples. I might print off another copy of the line art later and colour it with more traditional dragony colours ;)
