I'm so pleased with this lil guy :)




I'm wondering if I should start a separate journal for art-related stuff, probably a community as that's what a few artistic friends have done and it means not having to log in and out again. That way people not interested in my life ramblings can just watch the art and vice versa. Hmm, think on this I shall*.

I also need to think up what I'm going to do for my next Scrap Dragon, Kate wants me to make one called bob, so I need to work out what bob-ish fabric I have :D I'm also hoping the felt I brought on eBay arrives today, that way I can finish off another beanie I have waiting.

(*one of my friends wants me to make a set of Star Wars beanie dragons so now I have a Yoda stuck in my head!)

I wanted a new header image for my dA journal but I'm not happy about how the colours scanned (am I ever?), so I might re-do it digitally and hopefully it will look better.

I'm not sure I like this one as much as the drawing chibis but I'm still pleased with it. Very much inspired by my collection of Pocket Dragons and Ice Dragonettes that live in my sitting room :D

Gift for Azura over on deviantART and DragonRealms. This has been sitting in my sketchbook for a little while now but I finally got it coloured.

Trying out a different angle on the head, I know its a bit too thin. I did try re-drawing it twice but it just looked worse so I went ahead and coloured this one.

This took me far too long to complete and I feel I could have done a lot better, but its done now.

In other news, Tanis has to go back to the vets for his second vaccination this evening. Hopefully he'll take it as well as the others, he doesn't seem to mind going to the vet at all and is happy to sit there being poked and prodded.

Another twi'lek, this time in a more cartoony style. Pose was traced from a screenshot of my character and coloured with Letraset markers. I really like how this one came out so I've started on a second one in the same style. Its also making me more confident with human anatomy so hopefully I'll be able to draw poses in the near future rather than trace them.

Something a little different. I don't talk about Star Wars: Galaxies very much on here but I play a twi'lek dancer on one of the European servers. My friend Kate keeps mentioning that we should draw our twi'leks so here is another attempt.

Pose was traced from a stock image on deviantART (I'll have to find the link later) but I added the lekku (head tails). This picture was mostly for shading practice and because of the tracing it won't be going up on dA. Although the image owner has no problem with their photos being used in this way I still feel a bit funny about putting it up as my work even if I do add credit & links.



I've got a more cartoony version of my twi'lek all inked out and waiting for colour which I'll post here once its finished :)
